2.24.2.2 TESTING THE REMOTE FEEDER CONTROL
1. Configure the ScanMasterII for remote feeder RUN and RATE on the
SETUP2 SCREEN.
2. Make sure the ScanMasterII front panel Feeder switch is turned ON.
3. Operate the PLC control signal to turn the feeder on and off. The
feeders should turn OFF with no power applied and turn ON with
power applied. Leave the control in the on condition to test the feed
rate in Step 4.
4. Operate the PLC current source to generate a control signal ranging
from 4 milliamps (lowest feed rate) to 20 milliamps (highest feed
rate).
2.24.2.3 LAMP MONITOR PCB (See Figure 2-30)
The Lamp Monitor PCB passes signals between the control system and the Lamp
Power Supply Assembly. There are no adjustments on this PCB, but test points are
provided to monitor lamp level. Connect the negative lead of a voltmeter to TP1
and set the meter to read DC voltages of up to 30 volts. Connect the positive lead to
TP2 to read the voltage for the front lamps and to TP3 to read the voltage for the
rear lamps. These readings should agree with the readings displayed on the SETUP1
SCREEN.
