1 Technical Description
System overview
The supply ships ”PX 105” are each fitted with two
SCHOTTEL Combi Drives (SCD 2020 Twin).
Each system includes:
D SCD 2020 Twin
D Lubrication oil maintenance unit
D Oil compensating reservoir
D Condensation water pump
D Energy supply switch cabinet
D Controls switch cabinet
D Brake resistance
D Board of main control stand
D Board of engine room
D PS--board of chair control stand
D STB--board of chair control stand
D Additional displays, bridge deck
D Additional displays, main control stand
D Tiller (for port--side and starboard system in
common)
Given that the subassemblies of both systems are
arranged mirror--inverted, in the following only the
starboard system is detailed.
The system is controlled on the bridge deck whether
from the board of the main control stand (1/11) or from
one chair control s tand board (1/5 or 6).
Additionally to the displays in the main control stand
board (1/11) above the control desk there are additional
displays (1/9) for the thrust direction and speed of the
system.
Additional displays (1/1) are also in the centre of the
bridge deck at the sight of the master mariner.
On the chair control stand, there is each one control
lever PS (1/7) and one control lever STB (1/8).
Different from the above mentioned operating
elements, the tiller (1/10) arranged close to the main
boards, is present only once.
The system can also be controlled from the engine
room board (1/12).
Besides the components for the controls of the system,
the switch cabinets also includes the components for
the controls of the lubrication oil maintenance unit
(1/17) and for the condensation water pump (1/16).
