7.6.11.1 Activating logic access protection

Passwords that have been forgotten cannot be reset.

Approach
1. In the Configuration main navigation menu, click on Hardware configuration under
Navigation.
2. Right-click on the main module and select the Change access for logic pages com‐
mand from the context menu.
3. Select the Enable password protection for logic pages option.
4. Set passwords for logic access levels 1 and 2.
5. Click on OK.
Complementary information
Users can verify and transfer configurations if no visibility protection has been
applied to the logic pages.
Users can only export configurations containing protected logic pages after logging
into the required logic access level.
When partial applications are exported, the logic access levels and passwords
are not exported at the same time. Therefore, you may have to set up password
protection again after importing a partial application.
