Bit Meaning
0 to 6 0: These bits are always "0"
7 1:The incoming diagnostic messages exceeds the memory capacity of the DP slave.
The DP master cannot write all diagnostic messages sent by the DP slave to its diagnostic buffer.
Master PROFIBUS address
The "Master PROFIBUS address" diagnostic byte stores the DP address of the DP master:
• that has configured the DP slave and
• has read and write access to the DP slave.

Bit Meaning
0 to 7 DP address of the DP master that has configured the DP slave and has read/write access to that DP slave.
FFH: DP slave was not configured by a DP master
Vendor ID
The vendor ID contains a code specifying the type of the DP slave.
