File
A complete, named collection of information, such as a program, a set of data
used by a program, or a user-created document. A file is the basic unit of storage
that enables a computer to distinguish one set of information from another.
Formatting
Formatting divides the memory area on a magnetic data medium into tracks and
sectors. Formatting deletes all the data on a data medium. Every data medium
must be formatted before it is used for the first time.
Function Keys
Function keys can be divided into two different types; the normal function keys
which are assigned a particular function of the computer (for example, delete key),
and programmable function keys (softkeys).

Hard Copy
The output of the complete contents of the screen on a printer is called a hard
copy.
Hard Disk Drive
Hard disk drives (Winchester drives) are a form of magnetic disk memory where
the magnetic disks are permanently built into the drive.
