2.2 Safe handling
Application example for SIMOTICS CONNECT 400 - Router Kit 7
WARNING
Electric shock if there is no insulation
Contact with live parts may cause death or severe personal injury.
Use only the cables supplied or cables that correspond to the prescribed installation
regulations with respect to voltage, current, insulation material, load capacity etc.
Lay cables in such a way that they cannot be touched or squashed by moving parts.
WARNING
Electrical charge (>50 µC) between mains conductor and protective conductor
connection after power switch-off
Contact with live parts may cause death or severe personal injury.
Do not touch terminals until five minutes after the voltage is switched off.
Ensure sufficient contact protection.

Live parts
Electrical machines have live parts.
Removal of covers, improper use of the machine, incorrect operation or insufficient
maintenance can cause death, serious injury or material damage.
Always observe the "Five safety rules (page 6)" when working on the machine.
Only remove covers in line with these operating instructions.
Operate the machine properly.
Maintain the machine regularly and correctly.
