3.15 Regulatory Sign Expansion Kit
One Regulatory Sign Expansion Kit (P/N 667/1/33070/000) can be specified, if required. The
Regulatory Sign Expansion Kit Step down Transformer will be configured with conventional mains
supply leads to allow mains supply is obtained from the 6A Mini Circuit Breaker - detailed in
paragraph 6.4. Output from the 24VAC step down transformer is supplied to Regulatory Sign
Expansion Kit PCB terminal strip 2, refer to Figure 58. With reference to Figure 48 positions on
the Outercase back plate have been set aside for the Regulatory Sign Expansion Kit
components. The specification of Freestanding ST800 TC12 OTU places restriction on
positioning of the Regulatory Sign Expansion Kit Components. When both items are specified on
a controller the Regulatory Sign Expansion Kit components should be incremented by one
position.
Note: The connection scheme for the Regulatory Sign Expansion Kit should be
rigorously followed. Further details of the regulatory sign option should be sought
from Handbook 667/HB/32750/000. Specific details of the connections scheme are
also detailed on drawing 667/GA/33070/000. This drawing is supplied with the expansion kit.
The Regulatory Sign Expansion Kit provides output for up to 12 regulatory signs in two groups,
labelled REG1and REG2.

If there is a required to monitor the regulatory signs, connections must be made between the
Expansion kit and terminals on the Backplane Board.
PL1 and PL2 on the Regulatory Sign Expansion Kit PCB are four way Molex style connectors,
which provide the necessary monitoring feedback signals, refer to Figure 58. These current
outputs are wired to the terminal block external (torroid) inputs. These inputs will ONLY monitor
