System Changes
After you install StorageSync, the following changes are made to your computer.
New Icon
A StorageSync icon is placed on your Windows Desktop. You can use this icon to start the
program, without having to go through the Start menu.
New Directories
A new directory called StorageSync is installed in the \Program\Files directory. The
following three programs are copied to the \Program\Files directory:
StrgSync.exe
RegApp.exe
Uninstall.exe
In addition, a \Help subdirectory containing help files is installed in the \StorageSync
directory.
Windows Registry Changes
StorageSync adds two keys to the Windows Registry key. The following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\StorageSync
affects the data saving and last reminder popup date/time features in the Professional version
of StorageSync. This key is removed when StorageSync is uninstalled.
The second key that StorageSync creates is:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\Uninstall\StorageSync
This key allows StorageSync to be uninstalled using Add or Remove Programs in the
Windows Control Panel.
