5. NEEDLE CENTER POSITION
1. When the straight stitches is set at center needle
position (Straight No.1), the needle should fall into the
center position (align with the center line mark (a) of
the general purpose foot (A)).
If it is not so, adjust as follows:
2. Set the pattern at [Straight No.1].
3. Attach the general purpose foot (A) and lower the
presser foot lifter.
4. Remove the light cover.
5. Loosen the center screw (b).
6. Turn the adjusting screw (c) left or right until the
needle align with the center line mark (a) of the foot.
• When you turn the screw to the right, needle will move
to the left.
• When you turn the screw to the left, needle will move
to the right.
7. Retighten the screw (b) and re-check the position of
needle.
8. When you have adjusted this position, check the
timing of the hook again. (Sec. 3)
