11. ADJUSTMENTS FOR BUTTONHOLE LEVER POSITION
1. If the machine dose not sew even with the buttonhole
lever all the way down, it means that the buttonhole
lever is not positioned properly. Also, if the buttonhole
lever is not positioned properly, the machine will sew
buttonhole as shown or incorrectly.
2. Turn off the power switch and push the bobbin winder
spindle to the right.
3. Turn on the power switch with pressing the reverse
button. The self-diagnostic screen will appear.
4. Attach the buttonhole foot.

5. Lower the presser foot and the buttonhole lever.
6. Push the presser foot frame backward about 1cm
while lifting the presser foot lever slightly. Then slowly
move the frame frontward. Lower the lever when self-
diagnostic screen “BH-BackSW” changes to “ON”
from “OFF”.
7. At this time, the presser foot frame should be about
1mm backward from the extreme end.
If it is not in correct position, adjust as follows:
8. Push the presser foot frame 1mm backward from the
extreme end, and lower the presser foot.
9. Remove the light cover.
10.Turn the eccentric pin (a) left or right so that the self-
diagnostic program “BH-BackSW” just changes to
“ON” from “OFF”.
11.Re-check the buttonhole lever position when adjust-
ments have been completed.
