4.5.14 Endodontic treatment
Endodontic treatment
For endodontic treatment, the speed and torque of the instrument tip can
be precisely adjusted and saved for later reference, if desired. A selection
of the most popular file systems with the speed and torque values
recommended by the manufacturer is available. The treatment center
facilitates the management of up to three endodontic treatments with
individual settings for each user profile.
If your treatment center is equipped with the ApexLocator option, this can
be used for endodontic treatments.
If the adjacent display appears when the treatment function is switched
on (see below), the software has detected that the burr drive marked with
a warning triangle is not suitable for treatment purposes. In this case,
please contact your dental depot.
The Treatment function can only be accessed in the
Start program
without instrument functions
operating mode.

Switching the function on and selecting the treatment
Endodontic treatments are displayed in a list in the
Treatment selection
screen on the touchscreen. The required treatment is selected from these
lists.

CAUTION
Only the Sirona ENDO 6:1 contra-angle handpiece may be used for the
endodontics function.
Instruments from other manufacturers can lead to malfunctions. Outside
instruments may be improperly calibrated for endodontics.
➢ Use only the ENDO 6:1 contra-angle handpiece from Sirona for
endodontics.
➢ Check whether the reduction ratio on the touchscreen agrees with
the value specified on the contra-angle handpiece being used.
IMPORTANT
Pencil symbol
Endodontic treatments that were created or edited by the user are
marked with a pencil symbol. Please note that changes to the file
settings may have been made during these treatment sessions. E.g.,
files were possibly removed from the sequence or the values
recommended by the manufacturer were altered.
