Manual storage box Section 3 – Familiarization
3.2 Manual storage box
The manual storage box is weather-resistant. It
contains the operation manual, ANSI Manual of
Responsibilities, and the ANSI/CSA certicate. You
must keep the operation manual for the make and
model of this MEWP in this box. Refer to Figure 02 for
the location of the manual storage box.
3.3 Control functions
3.3-1 Main power disconnect switch
Refer to Figure 02 for the location of the main power
disconnect switch.

Main power disconnect: This switch
disconnects power to all control circuits when it
is in the off position. The switch must be in the on
position to operate the MEWP. The switch must
be in the off position when you transport the
MEWP or put it in storage.
3.3-2 Base control console
Refer to Figure 02 for the location of the base control
console.

Lower/neutral/raise: This switch controls the
function to lower or raise the platform.

Off/platform/base key: With this three-way
switch, you can:

Turn off the power to the MEWP controls.
▪
Energize the base controls.
▪
Energize the platform controls.

Emergency-stop: This button disconnects
power to the control circuit. Pull to connect the
power again.
