6.5 Open the hydraulic/
electrical compartment
1. Make sure that the MEWP is on rm, level
ground.
2. Fully lower the platform.
WARNING
The following procedure must be done from the
ground outside of the platform. If you do not obey,
there is a risk of death or serious injury.
3. Turn the main power disconnect off.
4. Press the foot pedal

on the platform.
5. Push the platform until the maintenance lock
engages.
6. Locate the platform maintenance lock
mechanism underneath the platform.
7. Pull and hold the handle

to unlatch the
platform locking mechanism.
8. Fully pull the platform to the maintenance
position.

9. Open the hydraulic/electrical compartment
cover, and properly install the prop bar
