1. Remove the bottom steel retaining pin

2. Slowly insert the forks into the platform fork
pockets

WARNING
Forks must not protrude beyond any part of the
platform. Do not use forks that are longer than 48
inches.
WARNING
End fork loops are to be used only for positioning
the platform. Never use fork loops to secure or
elevate personnel or platform.
3. Install the two steel retaining pins behind the
heel of each fork. Ensure each pin is secured
with a hairpin cotter

4. Secure the safety chain

around a strong part
of the fork carriage and secure it with the locking
grab hook. Ensure chains are not slack and
installed as close to a straight, horizontal pull as
is possible. The chain angle must not exceed 45
degrees. See gure 54.
