Install the DC connections in the following sequence:
1. Loosen the cable screw connection on the Sunny Island.
2. Thread the DC cable through the cable screw connection.
3. Remove the protective insulation from the conductor and fit a suitable ring cable lug to the
exposed end of the conductor.
4. Install the M32 cable screw connection (included in delivery) for "DC−" and "DC +" in the cable
feed-throughs.
– Introduce the cable screw connection with the thread in the cable feed-through.
– Screw the counter-nut onto the cable screw connection thread on the inside of the housing
and tighten.
5. Attach the "DC − " cable with the ring cable lug to the "DC −" connection terminal and tighten the
screw with a torque of 4 to 5.7 Nm.
6. Attach the "DC+" cable with the ring cable lug to the "DC+" connection terminal and tighten the
screw with a torque of 4 to 5.7 Nm.
DC- connection area
The areas between the ring cable lug and the connection area must be clean. This way a
transition resistance is avoided and the heating of the terminals is reduced.
DC cables
Do not connect any other components to the DC cables. Other components must be
connected directly to the battery via separate cables.
