3.1 SI1287
MENU
SETTINGS
Use of the SI1 287
front panel has been explained previously in Chapter 3.
Step 1. Initialize
the
SI1287.
Step 2. Press SET UP to
select parameter set-up mode.
Step 3. Press
I
MEASURE and
select:
RESISTOR
=
1000
O/L TYPE
=
warning
Step 4. Press SET UP (again) to return the SI1287 to normal mode.
Note: All other menu settings are left
to
their default (initialized values).

1250,
1254,
1255 OR 1260 MENU SETTINGS
For each instrument,
the detail of the set-up menus appears in the relevant operating
manual.
Step 1 Initialize the
1250/54/55/60, from the SELF-TEST menu. This action also
‘reads’
the GPIB
switch
settings.
Step 2
In the
GENERATOR
menu,
select:
AMPL =10V
on the
1250/54,
=3V or less on the 1255/60.
Step
3
In the ANALYZER
menu, select:
Rear
input
for ANALYSER
1 and
2 on the 1250/54. Single-ended
inputs with
outer grounded for INPUT VI and
V2
on the 1255/60.
On the 1250/54/55/60
set the integration time to
cover five
cycles and the delay
time to cover one
cycle.
Step
4 In
the
SWEEP
menu of the
1250/54/55/60,
select:
FR
MIN
-
1Hz
FR MAX
=
10kHz
A LOG =20steps/decade on the
1250/54, =81
points/sweep on the 1255/60.
Step 5 Set the DISPLAY
SOURCE to:
CH2/CH1
on the 1250/54, V2/V1 on the 1255/60.
Step
6 In the
PLOTTER
menu of the 1250/4/55/60, select:
MODE vector
SIZE A4
DEVICE
GPIB-HPGL or GPIB-ESGL, depending on plotter type.
Note: All other menu
settings are left to their default (initialized values).
