Troubleshooting
To clean and disinfect a transducer
(immersion method)
1 Disconnectthetransducerfromthesystem.
2 Removeanytransducersheath.
3 Cleanthesurfaceusing asoftclothlightly
dampenedinamildsoaporcompatible
cleaningsolutiontoremoveanyparticulate
matterorbodyfluids.
Applythesolutiontotheclothratherthanthe
surface.
4 Rinsewithwaterorawipe
with
water‐dampenedcloth,andthenwipewitha
drycloth.
5 Mixthe disinfectantsolutioncompatiblewith
thetransducer,followingdisinfectantlabel
instructionsforsolutionstrengthsand
disinfectantcontactduration.
6 Immersethetransducerintothedisinfection
solutionnotmorethan12‐18 inches
(31‐46 cm)fromthepointwherethecable
enterstheconnector.
Followtheinstructionsonthedisinfectant
labelforthedurationofthetransducer
immersion.
7 Usingtheinstructionsonthedisinfectant
label,rinsetothepointoftheprevious
immersion,andthenairdryortoweldrywith
acleancloth.
8 Examinethetransducerandcablefordamage
such
ascracks,splitting,orfluidleaks.
Ifdamageisevident,discontinueuseofthe
transducer,andcontactSonoSiteoryourlocal
representative.

USB keyboard
To clean and disinfect the battery (wipe
method)
1 Removethebatteryfromthesystem.
2 Cleanthesurfaceusingasoftclothlightly
dampenedinamildsoapordetergent
cleaningsolution.
Applythesolutiontotheclothratherthanthe
surface.
3 Wipethesurfaceswiththedisinfection
solution.Sani‐ClothHB,Sani‐ClothWipes,or
70%isopropylalcoholis
recommended.
4 Airdryortoweldrywithacleancloth.
To clean and disinfect the USB keyboard
1 DisconnecttheUSBkeyboardfromthe
system.
2 Wipethesurfacewithanyofthefollowing
products:
•Sani‐ClothWipes.
•Isopropylalcohol
• Hydrogenperoxide
Caution:
To avoid damaging the battery, do
not allow cleaning solution or
disinfectant to come in contact
with the battery terminals.
