Novus e 2. Unit Description
2.4 Mechanical description
The unit comprises a column, a motorized carriage,
an upper shelf, a rotating unit and a patient support
assembly.
The column is permanently fi xed to the wall, using wall
bracket and, if required or necessary to the fl oor.
The unit can also be used free standing but it must be
attached to the show stand (part no. 9802666).
The motorized carriage is attached to the column and
can slide up and down the column (Z-movement, for
adjusting the height of the unit). The upper shelf is at-
tached to the top of the motorized carriage.
The rotating unit, which comprises the tubehead and
collimator and the CCD sensor, is attached to the un-
derside of the upper shelf. The rotating unit rotates to
take panoramic exposures (R-movement).
