DE-ESS Function
The de-esser is a dynamically controlled lter normally used to reduce the sibilance (‘sss’ components) in
a singer’s voice. If the de-esser is active, the signal level will be reduced only in the band set by the lters,
when the signal in this band exceeds the required threshold.
Gate Hi Cut Filter
Adjust the cut-off frequency of the gate sidechain hi-cut lter.
Together with the gate lo-cut filter, this creates a band-pass filter for side chain control of the gate.
De-Esser Sensitivity
Adjust the sensitivity of the De-esser process.
The de-esser can be used instead of the Gate, but not at the same time. The Gate-DeEss control is used to select
which type of processing is required.
De-Esser In
Activates the De-esser process
De-Esser Range
Adjusts the De-esser attenuation.
The maximum amount by which the signal in the 'Ess' band is attenuated when the DeEsser is activated.
External Key Assign
Activate the External Key Assign screen in the main Vistonics touch screen panel.
All external I/O options for the external key become available for selection.
