9. SOUNDS & KEYBOARD MODES
9.1. Sounds Selection
This piano has a total of 160 sounds and 9 Drum Sets divided into 6 families (Refer to
the Sound List). You can select the desired sounds by following the instructions listed
below.
To access the sound environment, press the [SOUND/
STYLE] button. When the button LED is on it means that
you are in the [SOUND] environment. The default sound
when turned on is PIANO GRD (000).

On the sound shortcut buttons sound, the LED of the family to which the current
sound belongs will be lit and the display will show the current sound.

By repeatedly pressing a family button you can scroll through all the sounds belong-
ing to the family and the corresponding LED will be lit. The display will always show
the current sound.
Another way to select a sound is by use of the
Alpha-Dial. By pressing and holding down the button
of a sound family, and then rotating the Alpha-Dial you
can scroll through all the sounds belonging to the fam-
ily and obviously the corresponding LED will be lit. The
display will always show the current sound. An example
for the PIANO sound family is in the image on the right.

9.2. DUAL Keyboard Mode
DUAL keyboard mode allows you to layer two dierent sounds, creating a fuller, richer
sound.
To activate the DUAL keyboard mode, press and
hold down the [FUNCTION] button and then
press the G#2 key on the keyboard which corre-
sponds to the DUAL silkscreen
