Alarm Audio
Tones are the sounds associated with an alarm condition as well as the sound made
each time a key on the display is touched.
While adjusting audio volume, a tone sounds briefly as an example of the new
volume level. Volume adjustments affect only the monitor where the adjustment is
made. The volume of an alarm audio at a remote monitor must be adjusted at that
monitor and cannot be adjusted remotely.
You can enable, disable, or adjust the volume for the following audio types:
• High Alarm audio: tones that sound when a high priority alarm is
activated.
• Medium Alarm audio: tones that sound when a medium priority
alarm is activated.
• Low Alarm audio: tones that sound when a low priority alarm is
activated.
• Remote Alarm audio: tones that sound when an alarm is initiated at a remote
monitor that is being viewed on this monitor.
• Alarm Watch audio: tones that sound when this monitor receives an alarm
watch message from a remote monitor that this monitor is configured to
watch.
• Key audio: tones that sound each time a user touches a button, icon or key on
the monitor.
Note:
A visual alarm notification is shown until the alarm condition is resolved, even if
you disable the alarm audio at a monitor.
Warnings:
• Disabling alarm tones at a monitor eliminates alarm tones for all alarm
conditions at that monitor, even in the case of life-threatening events.
• Check alarm volumes periodically! Turning the volume off or too low will
defeat the audible alarm function.
The Audio tab of the Monitor Setup window shows the current settings for this
monitor’s audio types.
