4.3 Gas supply (sparks operating mode)
Information! Measurement errors!
Impurities in the argon supply cause measuring errors.
 Ensure oil and grease-free laying of the argon supply line.
The spectrometer requires an argon supply line.
A suitable pressure reducer is required for the argon supply (bottles or liquid gas
tank).
 Adjustable output pressure 0 - 10 bar
 Argon inlet pressure at the instrument is 5 bar ±10%, 72 psi
A PTFE hose with quick release provided by SPECTRO supplies the argon
(instrument side):
 Diameter OD 6 / ID 4, length 0.8 m
 When using longer lines and/or smaller tube diameters, a possible pressure
drop must be taken into account.
