6.5.2 Proceed with the measurement
Sample measurement, analysis
To perform a measurement, proceed as follows:
1. Start an analysis program via "Application profiles" or via the corresponding
function key.
2. Hold the test probe (adapter) onto the sample. If you use an application profile
for a spark method, ensure that the sample covers the opening of the adapter
completely.
3. Press and hold the "Start Measurement" key for the entire duration of the
measurement.
The measurement is fully automated. The progress is displayed in the
measurement window.
The measurement is finished automatically.
During the measurement, the red status indicator of the test probe
flashes.
When the measurement is finished, the status indicator of the test probe
turns green.
If necessary, the measuring device prompts you to perform an
ICAL-standardization, see page 27.
The measurement results are displayed on the screen.
The measurement is complete.
