7.2 Cleaning the adapter
During the measurements, the adapter gets soiled.
After completing work, clean the adapter on the inside and outside, using a cloth
free of lint, oil and grease. Commercially available cotton swabs are also useful for
cleaning.
7.3 Cleaning the light inlet windows of the sample probe and of
the adapter
Contacting the electrode increases the risk of burn injuries. During normal
operation, the electrode will heat up to several hundred degrees.
Never touch the electrode with your bare hands, even after shutting
down the spectrometer. Always use pliers.
If an adapter is used for several measurements in a row, it can get hot.
Touch the adapter only after it has sufficiently cooled.
A sample can get hot if it is measured several times.
Touch the sample only after it has sufficiently cooled.
To clean the light-sensitive surface, proceed as follows:

loosen the adapter (1) and pull
out the adapter.
