6.6.4 Changing the electrode
The arc excitation uses silver or copper electrodes, while the spark excitation uses
only tungsten electrodes.
To replace the electrode, proceed as follows:
1. To switch the plasma generator off, press the following switch:
2. Use the knurled screw to loosen the adapter.
3. Pull out the adapter.
4. Loosen the electrode on the locking wheel.
Notice! A spring is located underneath the electrode. The electrode can
drop out when loosening the locking wheel. Hold the electrode with a pair
of pliers as you loosen and remove the electrode.
5. Pull out the electrode.
6. Insert the new electrode.
7. Install the adapter. Use the knurled screw to fasten the adapter.
8. Use the spacer to set the gap of
the electrode.
Press the spacer (1) onto
the adapter (2). The
electrode is pushed to its
correct position.

9. Use the locking wheel to fasten the electrode in place.
10. To switch the plasma generator on, press the following switch:
The electrode has been replaced.
