4. Lower the base plate (1).

5. Unscrew the CO
2
filter unit (1)
and the fine dust filter unit (2)
and replace them.

6. Raise the base plate and use the knurled screws to secure it.
7. Place the instrument back on the transport carriage and use the locking
mechanism to secure it.
 The CO
2
filter unit and the fine dust filter unit have been changed.
7.7 Cleaning/sharpening the electrodes
1. To switch off the plasma generator, press the switch:
Clean the electrodes after the completion of the tasks.
The "soft" rod electrodes (silver and copper) must be resharpened when their tips
are worn.
