About UD and BD Deployments
The following table shows the differences between a UD (Unidirectional) and
BD (Bidirectional) deployment:

BD Deployment
Tags only transmit real-time
temperature & humidity data to
MobileView.
Tags transmit and receive values
and configuration data from
MobileView via a Bidirectional
session automatically every 24
hours (providing there are no
network issues).
Does not support Offline data
uploads.
Supports Offline upload of
temperature & humidity values
and audit checks.
Does not support remote firmware
upgrade.
Supports firmware upgrades via a
BD session from MobileView.
Local Alarm is set only by using the
DM app.
Local Alarm is configured in
MobileView.
