4.9.1. Creating a Virtual Serial Port
The procedure for creating a virtual serial port varies depending on the model you are using and the firmware
version of the printer.
For TSP100ECO (firmware version 2.0 or later) and TSP100IIIBI
(1) Click “Add Port”.
(2) The following window appears.
Enter a virtual serial port name, and select whether to stop or continue printing after an error has
occurred. Then, click “OK”.
Virtual Serial Port Name
Enter the name of the output destination port of the currently used POS application.
(Example: If the output destination port is named COM3, enter ‘COM3’.)
Error Action
If "Continuous printing" is selected, data will be held when a recoverable error such as paper out has
occurred in a virtual serial port to be added. When the port is recovered from an error in the specified
time-out period, a print job will be continued from the position where printing has been interrupted.
If "Stop printing" is selected, a print job that was running at the time the error occurred will be ignored.
(3) Click “Apply Changes” to complete the creation of a virtual serial port.
Notes:
Multiple virtual serial ports can be created, but it is not recommended.
This function is provided to hold the downward compatibility.
