8.3 Cleaning
Housing:
Clean plastic components with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents since they
may damage plastic components.
When cleaning, take care to ensure than no water gets into the housing.
Cutting attachment:
We recommend the use of STIHL resin solvent (0782 420 1002) if resin has built up or the blades are sticking
together because of sap or other deposits. Deposits are then easier to remove mechanically or are dissolved when
the blades are run off load.
Recommendation:
Spray before starting work and after finishing work.
When the cutting attachment is disassembled, the individual blades can be thoroughly cleaned by smoothing them
on an emery board.
