Recharging the battery using the
on-board battery charger (op-
tional)
CAUTION
Charge the battery with the engine switched off and
the start key removed.
DANGER
The battery must be charged in rooms that comply
with applicable regulations. Refer to the battery and
battery charger manual for the charging proce-
dures, level checks etc., checking the type of bat-
tery (gel, lead etc.) and the voltage and current de-
livered. Excessive currents can damage batteries
and cause dangerous situations. As regards safety
precautions, follow the instructions given in the bat-
tery manual and those included in the "Safety
Guidelines "of this manual.
DANGER
If the truck is fitted with an on-board battery charg-
er, it is strictly prohibited to connect the battery to
an external battery charger.
CAUTION
Make sure that the mains supply voltage complies
with the battery charger's operating voltage.
DANGER
The electrical system must comply with the current
national regulations.
Battery type
Trucks can be fitted with different types of bat-
tery. Observe the instructions on your battery
type plate, as well as the specifications de-
fined in the chapter "Technical data".
