Varistor Selection
For wiring of Fast Brake Action, Sumitomo recommends the use of a Varistor (VR). Refer to Table 6-4 to assist in the
selection of the appropriately sized Varistor.
The brake portion (if supplied) of the motor may be wired using one of the following methods.
MC: Electromagnetic Relay
MCB: Magnetic Circuit Breaker
OLR: Overload or Thermal Relay
VR: Varistor (protective device)
