2. Basic splicing operation
If Auto start heating is set to ON,
the heating operation is
automatically started when the
fiber is placed into the heat shrink
oven.
4: Press the Heater key ( ) or tap
the Heater icon ( ).
The heat cycle is started.
If you would like to cancel the
heating process, press the Heater
key ( ) or tap the Heater icon
( ) again.

When lowering the fiber onto the heat
shrink oven, use the markings on the heat
shrink oven as a reference.

1: Open the heat shrink oven lid and
the heat shrink oven clamps.
(▸P.7-5 Heater clamp operation)
2: Open the hood and the fiber
coating clamps. Take out the
spliced fiber. Do not flex and bend
it.
Slide the protection sleeve (▸P.2-
17 ) over the center of the
splice.
3: While keep applying a slight
tension to the left and right fibers,
lower them onto the heat shrink
oven. The oven lid and oven
clamps close accordingly.
