3: Select “Target Loss” or “Fiber
Core Offset for ATTN” to edit
the value.
1: Tap the Splice program label
once. Select the category of
SMF G652.
2: Select SM ATTN1 program.
Tap the Pencil icon to edit the
splice program.
Attenuation splice mode
Attenuation splice mode creates an intentional core axial offset and splices fibers.
4: Enter the value by touching the
number keys, and then tap
“Done” ( ).
An estimated splice loss displayed in the splicer varies depending on the fiber
type being spliced and usage environment, and may not match an actual splice
loss. It is recommended that actual splice losses be measured and checked
with a power meter.
If the actual splice loss measured does not match the target splice loss, pro-
ceed to Step 5~6 of next page to make adjustments.
