Figure 9-7 Gas Calibration Check
The available options are:
-
C3 H8 (Propane)
-
C6 H14 (Hexane)
-
CH4 (Methane)
-
LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas).
The default setting is HC represents C6 H14 (Hexane).
Connect the calibration gas bottle to the calibration gas inlet on the
gas module rear panel, set the flow to 5 liters/min and turn on the gas.
Allow the readings to stabilise and compare the readings obtained by
the analyser with the known composition of the calibration gas. The
indicated ppm vol reading for HC must be the same as the known
concentration of HC in the gas bottle.
When the check is completed, turn off the gas and disconnect the gas
cylinder from the calibration gas inlet.
Press “Back” to return to the Gas Analyser Maintenance Menu.
9.5 Check and/or Install the O2 Cell
The O2 cell generates an electrical voltage proportional to the O2 present
in the exhaust sample. The analyser interprets this voltage and displays
the O2 content as a percentage. After a zero calibration the O2
concentration should read approximately 20.93 %vol.
