ENGINE REASSEMBLY
Reassemble the engine in the reverse order of disassembly.
NOTE:
Apply engine oil to each running and sliding part before reas-
sembling.
ENGINE BOTTOM SIDE
CRANKSHAFT
• Install the crankshaft into the left crankcase half.
NOTE:
Coat lightly molybdenum oil solution to the crankshaft journal
bearings.

• Install the countershaft assembly and driveshaft assembly.
• Install the gearshift forks and gearshift cam.
NOTE:
Identify the gearshift forks as follows.
1 For 3rd/4th drive gear [I.D. A: 36 mm (1.4 in), Gold]
2 For 5th driven gear [I.D. A: 40 mm (1.6 in)]
3 For 6th driven gear [I.D. A: 40 mm (1.6 in), Gold]
Never strike the crankshaft with a plastic hammer
when inserting it into the crankcase.
