Experiments
Performing experiments with the Auto TGA is
similar in many respects to the regular operation
of the TGA instrument, the exceptions are
explained in this section.
All of your TGA experiments will have the
following general outline. In some cases, not all
of these steps will be performed.
 Selecting the pan type and material
 Loading the pans
 Taring the empty sample pans
 Loading the samples into the pans
 Entering experiment information through
the TA controller (sample and instrument
information).
 Creating and selecting the thermal method
on the controller.
 Attaching and setting up external
accessories as required (e.g., purge gas, Gas
Switching Accessory).
 Starting the experiment.
