Installing I/NET The Setup Program
I/NET 2000 Getting Started 2-9
Warning: The Typical option installs asynchronous BIN files. If you are using
synchronous modems, make sure that you select the
Synchronous
option, described below. If you are unsure as to which option to select,
please review the Communication chapter in TCON237, I/NET 2000
Technical Reference Guide.
✧
Synchronous - installs all I/NET application files and
optional components. This option includes .Bin files for
synchronous communication. The full installation
requires approximately 35MB of hard disk space.
✧
Compact - installs all I/NET application files, including
AMT, Exporter/Reporter, data and help files. This is the
minimum configuration to run I/NET. This installation
requires approximately 15MB of hard disk space.
✧
Custom - allows you to select the components you wish
to install. This option is usually used when you need to
(re)install only a certain component or switch from
synchronous to asynchronous controller binary files.
In most cases, you should select either the
Typical or
Synchronous option. It is strongly recommended that you
install all the components, because this allows full configu-
ration to be performed automatically by the Setup program.
If you install only certain components, it may be necessary
to manually configure these components at a later date.
If you ch oose
Typical, Synchronous, or Compact, select Next
and skip to Step 13 on page 2-11.
If you select
Custom, select Next and proceed to Step 12 for
additional instructions.
