Note: To ensure the mix does not leak out of
the back of the freezing cylinder, the middle
section of the boot seal should be convex or
extend out from the seal. If the middle section
of the boot seal is concave or extending into
the middle of the seal, turn the seal inside out.

2. Insert the beater drive shaft through the
rear shell bearing in the freezing cylinder
and engage the hex end firmly into the
drive coupling. (See Figure 120.)

USE EXTREME CAUTION when
handling the beater assembly. The scraper
blades are very sharp and may cause injury.
3. Before installing the beater assemb ly,
check the scraper blades for any nicks or
signs of wear. If any nicks are present, or
if the blades are worn, replace both
blades.
If the blades are in good condition, install
the scraper blade clips over the scraper
blades. Place the rear scraper blade over
the rear holding pin on the beater. (See
Figure 121.)

Note: Soft serve side scraper blades should
be replaced every 3 months.
Note: The hole on the scraper blade must fit
securely over the p in to prevent costly
damage.
4. Holding the rear blade on the beater, slide
it into the freezing cylinder halfway. Install
the front scraper blade over the front
holding pin. (See Figure 122.)
