Status Code 1 Selection
• Enter the Codes 1 to 8 whose status must be set to ON side. More than one code may be
entered. Enter 0 when none of the statuses should be set to ON.
NOTE: Itemized, Single-item:
Refer to DEPARTMENT KEY description in this manual (stand-alone level).
• When Code 6 is set to ON (for Gasoline Sales), be sure to set a preset price in Address 3.
• Code 5 (Scale Allowed) and Code 6 (Gasoline Sales) cannot be set to ON simultaneously
for one department.
• Validation Compulsory status is effective not for the PLU entry but for the department entry.
• A PLU linked to a Gift Card department is Gift Card PLU.
• Code 8 (Gift Card Department) should not be set to ON simultaneously with Code 3
(Negative Department), Code 5 (Scale Entry), or Code 6 (Gasoline Sales).
Setting Examples:
To set only Code 2 to ON .............. Enter 2 [#]
To set Codes 2, 3, 5 to ON .…....... Enter 235 [#]
To set none of codes to ON .…...... Enter 0 [#]

Refer to Section 6.22 Preset Rate Setting for Selective Itemizers.
2. Tax symbol “F” is printed when this code has been set “ON” to a taxable
department. If the Food Stamp feature has been selected, this symbol “F” will
be always printed regardless of this code status when a food stamp taxable
department is entered.
In Canada, some area handles two kinds of tax; GST and PST. Status Code 4
(Tax Symbol “F” Print) should be set at the GST status setting.
