6.1 Installing/Replacing the Receipt/Journal Roll

Installing/Replacing the Journal Roll
1. When installing the Journal Roll for the first time,
skip to Step 3.
When replacing the Journal Roll, cut the paper at
the arrow indicating position in the figure.
CAUTION: Never try to pull out the remaining
paper end by hand. It may cause a
paper jam.
2. Remove the Journal Take-up Reel from the holder,
then pull the paper out of the reel.
3. Pull up the Printer Release Lever to open the
Journal Cover Frame Ass’y.
4. Remove the old Journal Roll, if any. Unstick the end
of the Journal, and then place the Journal Roll into
the right holder as viewed from the front of the
machine.
5. Pull the end of the Journal Roll until about 8 inches
(about 20 cm) of paper comes out of the journal
outlet.
