The CM_CAN_Combo can work in three different operation modes:
• Normal mode: The CM_CAN_Combo works at full capacity and never falls into
Sleep-mode or standby mode. Both boxes must be checked.
Prevent standby
Prevent sleep
• Stand-by mode: The CM_CAN_Combo works at full capacity as long as there is
communication on supervised ports. If there is no communication for defined time
in field Sleep Timeout, the CM_CAN_Combo changes into standby mode. Standby
means reduced power consumption and the device can return to full capacity again
by any communication on supervised ports. The boxes must be checked like this:

• Sleep (or Shut down) mode: The CM_CAN_Combo works at full capacity as long as
there is communication on supervised ports. If there is no communication for
defined time in field Sleep Timeout, the CM_CAN_Combo falls asleep. The boxes
must be checked like this:
