3.2.7 REMOTE CONTROL MANAGEMENT BY SMS
The remote controls can be managed by SMS.
The remote control management by SMS is programmed in the GSM configuration table.
z COMMANDS-SMS enabling Enable the function
z Password The password is optional. If it is programmed, it must be included in every
SMS. It can be composed of 1 to 8 alphanumerical characters (match
case relevant)
z White list The list contains the telephone numbers enabled to manage the remote
controls by SMS.
If no number has been programmed, SMS commands are accepted from
any telephone number.
Composition of the message
The message is composed of 2 to 3 elements: password (if programmed), remote control and command.
z Blank spaces Each of the three elements (words) provides precise information to the
control panel. This is why they must be clearly distinguished by one blank
space each.
z Password (if programmed) The password must exactly correspond to the programmed one. Pay
attention to the capital and small letters.
The first letter is always an upper-case letter because the password is the
first word of the message.
z Remote control The remote control can be written as a number or name.
The max. length of the name is 16 digits (match case irrelevant)
z Command • ON for activation of the remote control.
• OFF for deactivation of the remote control.
• Nothing for status polling
The ON and OFF commands can be written both with capital and lower
case letters.
Answer of the control panel
When the control panel receives the SMS message, it checks the password and telephone number as well as the
remote control and, if all three are correct, it returns an SMS message composed of the heading of the SMS message
(as it has been programmed in the GSM configuration table), the name or the remote control number as well as its
status.
If either the password or the telephone number are incorrect, there will be no answer.
If the remote control number or its name are incorrect, the control panel returns an error message.
