Changing Instrument
Settings
This section explains how to use the Remote Interface to change the instrument
settings. In this example, you will change the genlock settings.
Perform the following steps to change instrument settings:
1. Click the Genlock tab on the Java applet window. This opens the parameter
setting fields for that tab (see Figure B-4).

Menu Commands Description
File Load Parameter Loads an existing settings file saved in CSV format.
Save Parameter Saves current sync pulse generator settings as a CSV file.
Exit Exits the Java applet and returns to the Web browser
window.
Utility SNMP Community Sets the string that SNMP commands must include to have
read-only access (get community) or read/write access (set
community). The default SNMP get community string is
“public” and set community string is “private”. You must set
the same community string used by the sync pulse
generator.
Date and Time Sets the date and time for the sync pulse generator.
Option Key Enters the option key that enables the fine timing offset
feature (option 01).
Help Help Displays the help documentation about the Java applet
window.
