ThesestepsexplainhowtoquicklysetupyourNextG™Gateway:
1: InsertyourSIMcard(untilyouhearaclick)intotheUSIMslotontherearofthegateway.
2: ConnecttheyellowEthernetcabletooneoftheyellowLANportsfoundontheback
ofthegateway.
3: ConnecttheotherendoftheyellownetworkingcabletotheEthernetporton
yourcomputer.
4: Connectthepoweradaptertothepowersocketonthebackofthegateway.
5: Plugthepoweradapterintoawallsocketandpressthepowerbuttonintothe
ONposition(depressed).
6: ConfigurethegatewaythroughtheWebUserInterface(WUI).

7: Savethegatewayconfigurationandreboot(seesection7.5).
3.2 TCP/ I P SET TING S
ItislikelythatyourcomputerwillautomaticallyobtainanIPAddressandjointhenetwork.
ThisisbecausetheDynamicHostConfigurationProtocol(DHCP)server(onthedevice)will
startautomaticallywhenyourgatewaypowersup.
ThisautomaticassignmentrequiresthatDHCPisconfiguredonyourcomputers.Itislikely
thatthisisalreadythecasebutshouldyouberequiredtoconfigurethis,pleaseseethe
instructionsonthefollowingpage.
