CAUTION: Review ALL steps before proceeding.
CAUTION: Always use caution - wear eye protection.
TOOLS NEEDED:
WRENCHES - 19mm; 18mm; 13mm
STEPS 1-9
1. Make sure fuel tank has adequate fuel. Make certain fuel filter is full of fuel.
2. Using 19mm wrench loosen bolt on main fuel filter (Fig. A).
3. Operate hand pump using lever (Fig. B) until fuel flows from bolt (Fig. A). If no
fuel flows, quickly start and stop engine. Retry hand pump. Repeat if
necessary.
4. Tighten bolt (Fig. A).
5. Using 13mm wrench loosen bolt (Fig. C) on top of injector pump.
6. Repeat Step 3 until fuel flows from inlet injector line (Fig C).
7. Tighten bolt (Fig. C).
8. Start engine.
9. Once engine is running, using 18mm wrench loosen nut on injector line (Fig.
D) (
CAUTION: fuel will be under pressure) when fuel has a good stream
and no air is present than tighten nut on injector line (Fig. D). Repeat process
on existing injector lines.
NOTE: AFTER STEPS 1-8 IF ENGINE DOES NOT START YOU MUST REPEAT STEPS 1-7
UNTIL ALL AIR IS REMOVED FROM SYSTEM BEFORE ENGINE WILL START.
