Background The O
3
Background is used to make small adjustments to the zero level.
This adjustment should only be made when the Model 49i Primary
Standard is being precisely matched to a NIST traceable O
3
calibrator.
Normally, the Model 49i Primary Standard does not require any
background compensation.
• In the Main Menu, choose Calibration Factors > O
3
Background.
•Use and to increment or decrement the proposed
background value.
• Press to save the new background.

Span Coefficients The O
3
span coefficients is s used to make small adjustments to the output
level. This adjustment should only be made when the Model 49i Primary
Standard is being precisely matched to a NIST traceable O
3
calibrator.
Normally, the Model 49i Primary Standard does not require any
compensation.
Note The concentration value will show ERROR if the measured
concentration is not a valid span value (either higher than the selected
range, or 0 or lower). 
