Safe Shutdown Procedures
- Stop machine
- Lower the bucket and other attachments flat on the
ground
- Position controls in neutral
- Idle engine for short cool-down period
- Stop engine
- Cycle hydraulic controls to eliminate pressure
- Raise operator seat bar
- Check that lift arm/bucket controls are locked in neutral
- Unbuckle seat belt
- Remove ignition key and lock covers and closures
Don’t give anyone the key to an accident.
