6.3. Setting The RM-500's Menu
The settings related to the remote controller are performed with the VX-3000 Setting software. While for the
RM-500, only the own unit's operation settings can be changed from the menu on the RM-500's LCD screen.
The menu also includes the items to perform the level meter display and the restart of the RM-500.
6.3.1. Menu configuration

1-1-1 Contrast setting* Sets the contrast of the RM-500's LCD
screen.

1-2-1 Display mic. level When this function is set to ON, the
microphone volume level meter is displayed
while the chime icon is not displayed in the
Chime display area of the LCD screen.

1-2-2 Speech intelligibly Selects whether or not to make the speech
intelligible by the signal processing function.

1-2-3 AUX mic. setting This function disables the RM-500's
microphone and allows the microphone
connected to the AUX input terminal to be
controlled by the RM-500's Talk key.

1-2-4 TALK timeout extension This function allows you to add 30 seconds
to the Talk key timeout set with the VX-3000

2-1 Level meter Displays the level in 14 steps according to
the input level of the microphone and the
AUX. (See "Adjusting input sensitivity" on

3000 system is connected: VX-3000) for the
connection target, and the ID number and
rmware version of the remote microphone
being operated.

* The larger the brightness setting value, the more visible the LCD screen even in dark places, making the life
of the backlight shorter.
