14) Removing Pistons
1. Remove piston pin clip by using a pair of pointed nose
pliers.
Remove another piston pin clip. Be careful not to
damage the piston pin hole.
2. Remove piston pin 1.
· Use piston pin tool if the pin cannot be removed
with the pliers. Put the piston pin tool on the
piston pin and tap is lightly taking care not to
apply force to the connecting rod. Do not tap
small end washer.
· Check needle bearing quantity. (1set: 25pieces)
Piston Pin Tool 2 :
P/N. 345-72215-0
3. Remove piston rings 3.
Use piston ring remover.
Piston Ring Tool 4 :
P/N. 353-72249-0
CAUTION
Make sure that the piston, piston pin and
needle bearing in their original
combination.
