controlareadjusted,thethrottleandchokecontrols
mustbeadjustedproperly.
Theenginemustberunningduringadjustment
ofthecarburetorandspeedcontrol.Contact
withmovingpartsorhotsurfacesmaycause
personalinjury.
•Shiftintoneutralandengagetheparking
brakebeforeperformingthisprocedure.
•Keephands,feet,clothing,andotherbody
partsawayfromthecuttingblades,rotating
parts,themufer,andotherhotsurfaces.
1.Starttheengineandletitrunathalfthrottlefor
approximatelyveminutestowarmup.
2.MovethethrottlecontroltotheSlowsetting.Adjust
theidlestopscrewcounterclockwiseuntilitno
longercontactsthethrottlelever.
3.Bendthegovernedidlespringanchortang
(Figure50)toattainanidlespeedof1625±50RPM.
